The government of Uganda has banned the act of bringing beds on the stage when artists take to the stage to perform at events.

The halting of the act comes into effect after Jamaican dancehall sensational Dexta Daps recently brought a bed on the stage as he performed at a show at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The authorities have since decided to ban the act.

Hon. Betty Amongi, the Minister of Gender, Labour, and Social Development in the Cabinet of Uganda, issued the ban as she addressed the media in a press briefing.

She also revealed that the authorities are still investigating Dexta Daps’ performance in Uganda.
