She was charged with aggravated torture and sentenced to 40 years imprisonment. She was last week arrested in Kabale District in Southern Uganda where she had fled after her torture clip went viral online.
The clip circulated on December 27, 2024, when the incident took place at Kikoko Zone, Namataba Cell, Kirinya Ward, Wakiso District.
Tumuheirwe was a maid at Mike Mwesigwa’s home who had separated from his wife years ago.
